Producer: Red El Carmen
Region: Huila, Colombia
Variety: Caturra, Castillo
Elevation: 1400–2100 masl
Process: Washed + Sugarcane (EA) decaffeination
Low Tide comes from Red El Carmen in Pitalito, Huila, connected to the Red Associations network — built to help producers access more stable, sustainable pricing and stronger links to the specialty market.
It’s then decaffeinated in Colombia using the Sugarcane (EA) method, designed to preserve sweetness and keep the cup tasting clean and characterful.
Espresso
Dose: 18 g of ground coffee
Yield: 36 ml
Time: 28 to 32 seconds
How to brew:
- Use 18 g of finely ground coffee, espresso grind.
- Brew until you reach 36 ml in the cup.
- The extraction should take between 28 and 32 seconds — not too fast, not too slow.
4. Adjust the grind if needed:
• Too fast → grind finer
• Too slow → grind coarser
